Manly Food, Wine & Sustainability Festival releases information on this year's program and events, including some of Manly's best restaurants, wineries, and multiple stages with performances from Old Maly Boatshed, The Corso, and more.

2015 MANLY FOOD, WINE & SUSTAINABILITY FESTIVAL celebrates gourmet lifestyle

The 29th Manly Food, Wine & Sustainability Festival will be on again over Saturday and Sunday, 30-31 May 2015 between 11:30am and 5.00pm both days!

One of Sydney’s best loved food and wine festivals at Sydney’s favourite beachside location, the Manly Food, Wine & Sustainability Festival features dozens of stalls operated by top names in food and wine dotted along Manly’s ocean beachfront and The Corso.

Also, this year, there will be a special Paella Festival presented by Flavours of Spain and a Farmer’s Market, both on Sydney Road; ‘Planet Entertainment’ children’s rides; a ‘pop up’ coffee stall on the beach front presented by Nescafe Gold.

Approximately 80 Manly Food, Wine & Sustainability Festival volunteers will be at the event to welcome patrons, show people around, provide information and tips to ensure a great day!

Some of Manly’s best eateries and restaurants will participate including Crinitis; Daniel San; Ribs and Rumps; The Hunter Valley Cheese Factory; deVita; Boilerhouse (Q Station); Bavarian Bier Café; Classic China;Flavours of Spain; Papi Chulo; Harry Phats Asian Street Food [The Steyne Hotel]; Manly Grill; Mex & Co; Fried Mammoth; Benbry Brothers, Felix Halter - A Taste of Passion; Hugos Manly and The Old Manly Boatshed.

Wineries range from boutique to popular favourites such as Wynwood Estate; Lindeman’s; Pepper Tree Wines; Tulloch Wines; Ridgeview Wines; Kevin Sobels Wines; Tamburlaine Wines; Jacobs Creek (presented by The Hotel Steyne); Philip Shaw Wines; Peterson House and Jip Jip Rocks (Moambro Creek Wines).

Discover new vintages from leading wine producing areas of Australia, find a favourite and pair it with a variety of fresh gourmet appetizers or delicious meal.

The Old Manly Boatshed will entertain at the John Speight Stage on The Corso with a great range of popular Australian bands.

At the Moonshine Stage (sponsored by the Hotel Steyne) be entertained by rock and roll collective Bell Weather Department; Sydney pop/indie band Nova & The Experience; independent five piece, Hattie Carroll; Fairlight soloist Winston Surfshirt; roots, reggae, dub, horn-step supergroup, Black Bird Hum; indie-alt-rock bands Little Coyote and The Ruminaters; and swamp blues folk group Twin Fires.

Manly Markets will be relocated along the beachfront for the weekend with new and creative arts and crafts with something for everyone. And there’ll be fun family rides at North Steyne!

One of Sydney’s largest celebrations of food and wine, the Manly Food, Wine & Sustainability Festival’s traditional and much loved open-air format attracts an estimated 30,000 patrons over the weekend, drawn by one of the world’s most scenic beaches, beautiful harbour and the delectable range of quality food and wines on offer.

To help cope with the massive influx of ‘foodies and wine lovers’, and in keeping with the traditional sustainability theme, the festival will include bio-degradable plates and cutlery and a great display of produce and sustainable ideas in the much loved Edible Garden.

Have a look online for sustainable transport options, including cycling routes and Manly’s free ‘Hop Skip & Jump’ bus.

A major aim of the festival is to encourage patrons to enjoy great cuisine and wine, and also a more sustainable lifestyle in one of Australia’s most beautiful, cosmopolitan communities.
