Twenty-year-old virtuoso blues guitarist Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, from the legendary Mississippi Delta city of Clarksdale, has been performing live since he was a child and has become one of the most lauded artists of the blues genre. With one foot in the tradition and one foot in the future, “Kingfish” is poised to become new blues royalty with his Monterey Jazz Festival debut.
